About us

Shaping tradition with passion.

At JFS, the passion for tea has grown over generations. The company has been family-owned for over 120 years and is now run by the fifth generation. The grandfather of the company's founder laid the foundation with silk imports from China and sparked an interest in trade. Johann Friedrich Scheibler, born in Shanghai in 1871, founded J. Fr. Scheibler & Co. KG in 1896. Since then, the company has been run by members of the Scheibler family. With respect for people and nature and a keen awareness of the shared economic success of suppliers, partners, and customers.

Today, JFS is a modern company in which the special spirit of a family business lives on and continues to grow. What motivates our team today, as it did yesterday, is a natural food and luxury item that is unique in its diversity. Traditionally, we see ourselves as ambassadors of sustainable action in ecological and economic terms and as business partners in the spirit of honorable merchants. In our customer relationships, as with our suppliers, we attach great importance to close and personal cooperation.
